We're consolidating all of ampulets' various platforms into one....just "ampulets". Continue to follow us on: ampulets.blogspot.com , the very first platform we started.  ampulets continues to be the moniker used by Yvonne Tham for independent and collaborative art/design projects, including art books and such. ampulets continues to work with other designers, illustrators and artists!  She's sending Neighbourgoods into a hiatus....until she figures out the neighbourhood that is life and the universe. For continued neighbourly vibes, follow y_ampulets on IG. === Neighbourgoods was started in 2012 as a product label for all the things and collaborative projects that ampulets made with other designers and creative folks, outside of our client projects. Before gardening was hip

The aunties in the hood did it.  They didn't need fancy pots, exotic seedlings, special LED lights, hydroponic hyper-techniques. They grew plants in empty 20L paint tins, plastic buckets and pails, even industrial packaging, and improvised trellises with laundry stands and poles. You cannot stop 'em aunties from saving the world.

Oh blessed coconut! Life of curries and all things delicious! And the life of a good toilet scrub. This brush comes typically in 3 sizes, and its bristles in 3 levels of toughness - the darker the colour the harder its bristle. I grew up with this brush as the default tool for scrubbing the kitchen sink, the chopping board, and there's always one for the toilet floor. This is not nostalgia - it is just a better product than a plastic scrub or scouring brush: lasts longer; well-designed and looks good; natural and organic; and works. But this is a neighbourgood that is, sadly, no longer as common in the neighbourhood general stores, probably because it is no longer as often used. If you, like us, still clean your own house - get yourself these coconut scrubs.
